August 1-2, Sonora Age Group Invitational

Swimming at the Sonora Sports & Fitness Center in Sonora, were the following AquaSol swimmers:

Anais Anais Thomas, coming from our pre-team group, swam in her very first swim meet   She placed 7th in the 25 yard freestyle (51.99).  All her hard work this summer paid off!  She did great!

Arie Keuning swam in his first short course yard swim meet.  Arie swam in three events and had three best times:  100 freestyle 1:38.25), 100 back (1:46.12), and 200 breaststroke (4:25.12).  Congrats Arie on having such great starts!

Julian Taylor had 6 best times.  Julian swam the 50 free (40.71), the 100 free (1:36.98), the 200 free (3:32.46), the 50 back (50.62), the 100 back (1:45.99), the 50 breast (57.46), and the 100 breast (2:06.40).

Gabe Taylor had 6 best times and received a new "B" time standard in the 25 backstroke.  Gabe swam the 25 free (29.43), the 50 free (1:03.52), the 100 free (2:20.81), the 25 back (34.49), the 50 back (1:20.27), and the 25 breast (42.99),

Arianna Thomas had all best times for the meet.  She received a new "B" time standard in the 50 breaststroke.  Arianna swam the 100 free (1:29.62), the 100 back (1:37.08), the 50 breast (52.17), and the 50 fly (43.47)

Annalisa Taylor had four best times.  Annalisa swam the 25 free (23.55), the 50 free (49.28), the 100 free (1:48.30), the 25 back (26.74), the 50 back (1:00.97),  the 25 breast (32.96), and the 50 breast (1:13.57).

At this meet, all the swimmers added events on the day of the meet.  Some of the events were very long.  I am very proud of all the swimmers for stepping up and adding events.  

This was our first time at the Sonora meet.  We enjoyed the area, the pool, and the small venue.  We'll definitely do this meet again next year.
