November 6-8, 2009 Terrapins Swim Club - Senior Trials & Finals Concord, CA 7 swimmers from Aquasol participated in the meet that played host to 630 men and women from all over Northern California.
Mikaela Macklin (17) placed first in the 200 breast posting a season best 2:18.87 finishing ahead of World Championship Bronze medalist, Kasey Carlson. Mikaela posted season best times in the 100 breast 1:05.61, 200 IM 2:06.12, 100 Fly 56.84, and 100 free 52.69. Morgan Lloyd (17) posted 3 lifetime bests in the 200 Fly 1:57.02,100 Free 49.97and 100 Back 57.37. Coleman Goode (17) swam a 4:22.94 in the 400 IM - Lifetime best, 2:16.49 200 Breast - season best, 1:02.39 100 Breast, 2:02.31 200 IM - season best, 50.89 100 free, and 58.1 100 back. Emily Thompson (14) 100 Fly 1:04.29, Kirstie Sanew (17) 200 free 2:08.29, 200 back 2:21.86 - season best and 2:27.89 200 IM, Kevin Mertz (14) posted lifetime bests in the 1000 free 10:16.56, 200 IM 2:08.13, 500 free 4:54.12. He also swam the 200 fly, 2:04.29 and 100 fly 57.99. Riley Heryet (17) swam lifetime bests in the 200 IM 2:20.82, 100 fly 1:02.28, and season best 200 free 2:04.28. Macklin and Lloyd will both be attending the Junior National Championships in Columbus Ohio (Ohio State University) December 10-12. Riley Heryet, Kevin Mertz, Hannah Sparkman, Coleman Goode, Aaron Vaccarro and Andrew Hull will be attending the USA Speedo Sectional Championships in Long Beach December 18-22.
