She competed against many college swimmers, Olympians and foreign swimmers.  Mikaela swam a best time in her 100 meter fly hitting a new USA AAAA time of 1:05.06 and a USA AAAA time of 27.85 in her 50 meter freestyle.  She also achieved two new USA AAA times in her 100 and 200 meter breaststrokes. 

During the high school season, Mikaela also hit three automatic All-American times in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard fly, and 100 yard breaststroke. 

Worker of the Month goes to seven year old, David Mertz.  Coach Janine Joy said, "David has shown huge improvements during practice and at meets.  He is a joy to have in class, and he ALWAYS has a positive attitude and tries his very best. 

Because of his attitude, attendance and work ethic, I have chosen him as Worker of the Month.
