AquaSol competes at inaugural TYR Open Series in Sacramento.

The TYR Pro Series took place in Sacramento, California for the first time over the weekend of April 2nd to 5th, 2025.  The meet was hosted at the North Natomas Aquatic Center.  The meet was a mix of pro swimmers from the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico along with senior level swimmers from the Western United States. 

The meet was long course and a trials and finals format.  This meet also introduced the "new" events of the 50 meter butterfly, 50 meter backstroke and 50 meter breaststroke for the senior and pro levels!

AquaSol had three swimmers from the team compete in the meet:  Gabe Hudgens, Cruz Lopez and Lars Osen. 

Gabe Hudgens competed in the 50, 100, 200 freestyle and the 50 butterfly and 50 backstroke.  Gabe finaled in the 50 and 100 freestyles finishing 23rd and 24th respectively!  Cruz Lopez competed in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststrokes and the 50 butterfly.  Cruz finaled in all three breaststroke events posting a new team record in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.14).  He finished 11th (50), 17th (100) and 19th (200) in the breaststroke events.  Lars Osen competed in the 50 and 200 butterfly and the 200 IM and 50 breaststroke.  Lars finaled in the 200 fly and finished in 18th place.
